Coming from a town like Brighton, a breeding ground for talented bands, it’s not easy to get noticed. But with endorsements such as “one of the most relentlessly energetic guitar bands of the moment” from the likes of Channel 4, maybe it won’t be so much of a problem for Educated Animals, with their heady mix of floaty, melodic vocals reminiscent of Coldplay, stunning guitar riffs, and drumming that Nick Mason would be proud of. They’ve supported The Courteeners at Water Rats in London to rave reviews and also appeared alongside The Dykeenies, Tiny Dancers and Scouting for Girls – all good preparation for their appearance at Sugarhill 08. myspace.com/educatedanimals
